Antalya, one of Turkey's most populated cities, is crowned with many resorts and big hotels, making it one of the tourist attraction cities in Turkey. Antalya is renowned for its Turkish Riviera, commonly known as the Turquoise Coast. The area is famous for its beautiful beaches, turquoise blue waters, favorable climate, and stunning surroundings of mountains. Antalya's old harbor is always filled with yachts and tourist boats, with visitors who come to partake of the city's remaining attractions. Some of those attractions include the historic Hidirlik Tower, built during the second century to enable tourists to view the harbor clearly, and Hadrian's Gate, which was constructed in honor of the visit of the Roman Emperor to Antalya in the 130 A.D.
One of the old towns of Antalya, Kaleici, is another attractive spot, which features a stunning placement on the clifftop, with a magnificent sight of the Yivli Minare, an ancient minaret built of high bricks of up to thirty-eight meters. From the spot, there can be seen the neat, tiny, winding streets of the Ottoman homes constructed during the anci9ent times.
Antalya Museum is another attraction spot that is home to a vast collection of antiques dating back into the old centuries, and exhibitions of the culture and life of Antalya.
Antalya has beautiful beaches, one of them being the long, stretchy, and colorful pebbled beach of Konyaalti. It features turquoise blue waters, a warm and pleasant climate, and attractive mountain surroundings. The Lara beach features proximity to the wondrous Duden falls and welcoming hotels for tourists. Perge is an old set of stadium ruins that has been preserved in its ruined state and is a significant attraction spot, as well as the nearby Aspendos' theatre ruins.

When to visit Antalya

The peak of tourism in Antalya is from May to September when the weather is quite warm and dry to allow for numerous beach activities. Celebrations go on into the evenings as well as activities like biking, hiking, diving, and even golfing. The Antalya Film Festival that is featured between November and December is another attractive activity to be engaged in.
