Antalya is a lovely Turkish resort city that experiences a Mediterranean climate classified as Csa under the Köppen climatic classification. Characterized by hot, dry summers and wet rainy winters, it enjoys four distinct weather seasons divided equally throughout the year. Antalya is shielded from the northerly winds by the Taurus Mountains and has a generally high wind gust during the year.

Summer in Antalya runs from June through August and is the hottest and driest season with high temperatures ranging between 21°C (69.8°F) and 34°C (93.2°F). Rainfall during the summer is quite minimal, measuring an average of 5.1mm (0.2") and barely falling for one day the entire season. The high temperatures and hot sun all day long make summer's UV index as high as 7.1 creating a potential health hazard.

Between December and February, Antalya experiences winter characterized by low temperatures and extremely wet days. Rainfall is highest in winter, measuring as high as 274.3mm (10.8") on the rainiest days. The temperatures are mildly cold and rarely drop below the freezing point with the highest recording of 16°C (60.8°F) and the lowest of 5°C (41°F). The early mornings and nights get chilly due to cold winds experienced in the season.

Between March and May, the weather is generally pleasant, with mildly warm temperatures favorable for antagonists of both heat and cold. These months receive more tourists and visitors than other months since Antalya is beautiful with all the blooms making it look like a flower garden. This creates an excellent time for sightseeing and visits to Antalya's magnificent parks.

Autumn stretches from September to November, a period marked by a favorable humidity, average, and warm temperatures for a perfect transition from the heat of summer to the cool of winter. There are minimal rainfall and more heat from the sun, making a generally warm and moderately dry season.

Although Antalya is known for its lovely hotels and clear blue waters, the best time to visit is during spring. At this period, the crowds remain minimal since most tourists visit in summer. Accommodation offered during this season is affordable, and there are no long queues at every point. Flight prices are also regular during spring, and it is a period the city is most beautiful. With minimal crowds, visiting the historical and memorable spots in Antalya is manageable and less stuffy. The high rainfall and low temperatures of winter come to an end by spring, paving a way to pleasant weather without freezing temperatures or extremely high rain.

Unluckily, the worst time to visit Antalya is during summer. Summer is dry and hot, and the sea temperatures are lovely, but this makes most visitors touring during summer, crowding the city almost to suffocation. Flight prices are hiked as are the accommodation prices, and the crowds at the beaches are way too many. The high temperatures get intolerable on the hottest days, and the harsh sun's rays can cause many effects on UV rays. The wind speed in summer is quite high and may cause damage.

The high rainfall in winter may result in flash floods that come with extensive damage to property and harm to people. When accompanied by the strong winds, the damage is extreme, especially owing to the coastal location of the city. The rainfall may be accompanied by thunderstorms that may also cause harm and substantial destruction.
